The Classic original 300SL had been parked in the elderly gentleman’s garage since 1967. The story the gentleman gave me was that in 1967 he was driving the car across the Golden Gate Bridge and spun a bearing in the engine. He always had the best intentions of rebuilding the motor, but 33 years later, he opened the garage to show me the car. I sub sequentially purchased it.
