| Description: |
1973 Porsche "IROC Tribute" Mark Donohue Champion Based on a 1975 Porsche 911 Factory Carrera Sunroof Coupe # 187 out of 395 built. All matching numbers documented from PORSCHE Certificate of Authenticity with engine number 6451659, transmission number 152973, original window sticker. Variable use for: TOURING, RALLY, TRACK. Donohue raced in the inaugural IROC series in 1973/74, racing a special-prepped Porsche RSRs. Of the four-race series, Donohue won the first two races at Riverside and the final race of the year at Daytona. The only person to beat Donohue was his former Penske Trans-Am teammate, George Follmer. In winning the first IROC championship, Donohue beat the best-of-the-best racing drivers of that era from all of the major championships, such as Denny Hulme, Richard Petty, A.J. Foyt, Emerson Fittipaldi, Bobby Allison, David Pearson, Peter Revson, Bobby Unser, and Gordon Johncock. This 911 is ready to enjoy... Street legal with easy set up for "touring & rally" events or a day at the track. Lightweight RS interior, Leather Sport Seats, 7” & 8” Fuch wheels, torsion bar suspension with Brembro GT braking system and Cibie lighting. Weight reduction and upgraded 2.7 engine components with plenty of Horse Power making this a very fun 911 to drive. |
