1973 BMW 2002 Turbo

Only 1,472 examples were manufactured worldwide. Based on the TII and fitted with a KKK turbocharger and Kugelfischer Mechanical Fuel Injection system the 2002 Turbo produced 170 horse power @ 5800 rpm. Coupled to a close ratio 4-speed manual transmission these BMW's were a favorite on the racing circuits.

Originally delivered to Milano, Italy (none were delivered to the USA), eventually found it's way to Los Angeles. A high quality restoration was performed a few years back. The body and panel fit are excellent as is the paint and interior. Currently fitted with a later 5-speed manual transmission for more versatility in street driving.

2002 Turbos rarely come up for sale and are a fun car to drive on the open road!
