According to the records on file this 912 has been a Southern California 912 for the past decade. Finished in its factory exterior color of Aga Blue (color code 6608) over Red leatherette upholstery. Original equipment from the factory includes Antenna, Chrome Wheels, Exterior Mirror- Left, and Semperit 165 15 tires.

The restoration is nearly a decade old and the paintwork is in excellent condition with perfect gaps and panel fit. The exterior features U.S. bumperettes, original glass, Hella 128 fog lights, and is complemented by polished brightwork and aluminum trim. The upholstery is in outstanding condition and features a driver's Sport Seat and a passenger comfort seat. Additional interior equipment includes a wooden steering wheel, fire extinguisher, lap belts, Blaupunkt AM/SW/FM radio, and factory VDO instrumentation. The 5.5” x 15” Fuch alloy wheels are beautifully restored and fitted to Falken Ziex ZE912 205 60 R15 tires. The undercarriage is nicely detailed to show quality and is solid and rust-free.

On May 16, 2013, the 912 was sent to a paint specialist in Southern California, where it was completely stripped to steel and repainted in the original color Aga Blue. After the paintwork was completed, the engine was sent out to be rebuilt by Benton Performance LLC in Anaheim, California. The intent behind the rebuild was to maximize performance output through custom machined components and the installation of a big bore piston and cylinders. During the rebuild the engine was placed on a stand, completely disassembled, and parts were sent out for custom machine work. The custom machined parts included the cylinder heads, camshafts, lifters, and crankshaft. The engine was reassembled with new main and rod bearings, valves, valve springs, and gaskets. The suspension and braking system received a complete overhaul with all new components. In 2016 European Collectibles sold this 912 to a repeat client in Texas who has a large collection of blue vehicles. It has been serviced by European Auto Techniks in Houston, Texas. Most recently, at 9,422 miles, European Auto Techniks performed a service that included replacing the oil filter with new 20W-50 Porsche classic oil and an aluminum seal ring.

Powered by the matching 1600cc flat-four engine (type 616/36) producing 100 hp which runs phenomenal with a 5-speed manual transmission (type 902/0) and four-wheel disc braking system. Complete with Certificate of Authenticity, records from 2012-2022, spare tire, jack, and a tool kit. History (1966-1969)
Today, all but true Porsche enthusiasts may have forgotten that the Butzi Porsche-styled 901 (aka, 911) had a four-cylinder twin for the first five years of production. Introduced in 1965 as a replacement for the venerable old 356, the new four-cylinder Porsche brought the 911's new design across the entire product line. A 912 is essentially a 911 body paired with a pushrod four-cylinder, which was actually a slightly detuned variant of the 356SC motor. While the 912 weighed 133 pounds more than the old 356C, the new body was more aerodynamic and had an optional five-speed gearbox, a $75 option for the 912, which aided performance. Upon its introduction, the 912 sold for $4,700, outselling the 911 by a margin of two to one.
