One of the most sought-after models in the 356 series is the 356A T2 Coupe. The Silver Metallic paintwork is pristine, with excellent gaps and panel fit. The exterior has been upgraded with GT aluminum bumper trim and a louvered rear decklid. The interior has a beautiful upholstery and features Speedster seats, a rollbar, and a fire extinguisher. A VDM wood steering wheel sits ahead of factory VDO instrumentation with a 904 multi-gauge for measuring voltage and oil pressure. The 5” x 15” lightweight wheels are fitted with Pirelli Cinturato CN36 165 HR15 tires. The undercarriage is in excellent condition and has been detailed including all the suspension components.

According to the Porsche Kardex, the first owner was Dr Baker who took delivery at the American Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. Originally equipped with US overrider bumpers, a Ponto side mirror, a Becker Mexico radio, an antenna, and two speakers. According to the documentation, the next owner was Mr. Robertson, who owned this 356 from the 1980s until 1995, then sold it to Mr. Brown, who owned it from 1995 to 2005, and then sold it to the most recent owner from 2006 until 2024. The past owner acquired this 356A to build an Outlaw and began sourcing parts from Stoddard, NLA Limited, and GT Werks. In 2011, the transmission was completely rebuilt by Mackay Racing Enterprises, utilizing new gaskets, seals, and bushings. All of the gauges were refurbished in 2015 by Palo Alto Speedometer.

Mechanically, it is powered by a performance-enhanced flat-four engine (Type 616/1) and has been upgraded to Super-90 specifications. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with a four-wheel drum braking system. MacKay Racing Enterprises completely rebuilt the engine in June 2022. The motor was rebuilt, incorporating a Super 90 camshaft, Super 90 piston set, 356 SC connecting rods, a deep oil sump, a clutch, and a pressure plate were also installed. Leakdown and compression test were conducted in 2022. Leak down: 1) 5%, 2) 2%, 3) 4%, 4) 7% and Compression results: 1) 150, 2) 150, 3) 150, 4) 150.
