1958 Porsche 356A T2 Coupe

VIN 103277

Finished in Silver Metallic (608) with Black upholstery, this 1958 Porsche 356A Coupe is a well-preserved T2 example, with California yellow/black plates and single-family ownership for the past 28 years. A true driver's 356A Coupe, it retains excellent road manners while showcasing tasteful updates and careful maintenance over the years.

The Silver Metallic paintwork presents beautifully with good gaps and panel fit. There is some patina in the paintwork and a few imperfections. Complete with US chrome overriders and bumperettes. The interior is well-preserved with black upholstery, a VDM steering wheel, a deluxe horn ring, VDO instrumentation, and an original AM/FM Blaupunkt radio. Chrome 4.5" x 15" wheels, with Super hubcaps, mounted to Dunlop 165 R15 tires. The undercarriage is solid and rust-free.

According to paperwork, the 356 was owned in the early 1990s by Mr. Leboa of Northern California, who commissioned the Porsche specialists at The Stable in San Fransico to perform mechanical service through 1995. In 1996, a black Palomino headliner was installed by Wally's Auto Upholstery. The following year, the 356 was sold to its current owner, who purchased a new exterior trim kit and a rear windshield from Stoddard. In 1998, Von Steiner's German Auto Repair sourced and installed a 356C 1600cc flat-four engine. In 1999, the 356 was converted to a 12-volt system. Most recently, on April 30, 2025, the fuel pump was rebuilt.

Mechanically powered by a 356C 1600cc flat-four engine (Type 616/15) producing 75hp paired to a 4-speed manual transmission (Type 741) with a short shift kit and four-wheel drum braking system. This 356A offers the balanced dynamics and charm that define the 356A model while benefiting from reliable upgrades that make it ideal for daily use, accompanied by registration cards and over three decades of ownership history. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an attractive driver's 356A coupe, finished in a classic combination and ready to enjoy on the open road.
