The exterior paintwork and upholstery are well preserved and original, making this a preservation-class example. Inside, the cockpit features the original VDM leather-wrapped steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, cold air conditioning, and an AM/FM CD stereo system. Staggered Fuchs alloy wheels with anodized lips are mounted to Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 205/55ZR16 front, and 225/50ZR16 rear tires (dated 2025). The undercarriage is solid and rust-free, all original and well-preserved, displaying the factory cosmoline and undercoat.

This 911SC Targa entered the U.S. through the Port of Los Angeles and was delivered to Chick Iverson, Inc. in Newport Beach, California, where it appeared on the showroom floor as Stock #109. It was purchased on February 20, 1980, with 55 miles on the odometer by its first owner, a physician living in Mission Viejo, California. Special-ordered options included Option Group F27, special leather interior, speed control, floor mats, Fuch 16” alloy wheels, sport shocks, fog lights, rear speakers, electric right-side mirror, and power antenna. Service records and smog documents verify the 911's mileage and trace its use through 2002, when it had accumulated just under 22,000 miles before being stored indoors for the next 23 years.

The 911SC was later inherited by the past owner's son, who worked with European Collectibles to have it recommissioned. Having been stored for over two decades, the 911 underwent a detailed evaluation at European Collectibles, which, after a compression check and removing the valve cover for a valve adjustment, discovered multiple broken head studs. The engine and transmission were removed from the car, and the drive train was disconnected for teardown. The engine was disassembled on an engine stand and stripped down to the long block. The cylinder heads & head studs were inspected, and all 24 head studs were replaced. The engine was prepped and all components cleaned. The cylinder heads, pistons, and cylinders were inspected and cleaned, and a new piston ring set was installed. The engine was reassembled with Carrera chain tensioner update kit, O2 relay, and a rebuilt alternator. The flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc, and throw-out bearing were all inspected and replaced. The fuel system was completely overhauled, including a new CIS fuel tank, CIS fuel injectors and seals, fuel distributor, fuel accumulator, warm-up regulator, CIS fuel pump, fuel hoses, and fuel lines, with new or rebuilt components. The brake system was completely gone through, the front and rear calipers were rebuilt, new rotors, pads, caliper hardware kits, wheel bearings, front wheel seals, and hardline were installed. The wheel bearings were replaced and packed; the hubs were remounted, and the brakes were bled. The Fuch alloy wheels were restored, new Continental tires were installed, and all the wheels were torqued to factory spec. The air conditioning system was serviced, converted from R12 to R134, and a retrofit kit was installed. The AC compressor was rebuilt with a new gasket. The AC system was hooked up to the AC recycling machine, performed a vacuum, recovery, and recycling, and the system is blowing ice cold. Over $43,000 was spent, and over 200 miles have been test-driven to ensure proper function and reliability.
