1978 Volkswagen Beatle Convertible

Timeless design with a style that carries over to the current Beatles of today. Originally delivered by Volkswagen Fresno Inc on December 28, 1977. Past owner from 1996 to 2019 with receipts or service receipts from 2010 to 2018. Rust free, California car that has been well maintained. Original color Barrier Blue, the paintwork is very presentable but not perfect, the Biscuit interior is original with some wear but clean. The convertible top & boot cover are both in good condition. Mechanically It has a strong engine with a 4-speed manual transmission, upshifts and downshifts with no issues. Good examples are becoming harder & harder to find. A true joy to drive with the top down on a sunny day.

History
In 1979 the VW ceased production of the car to the US market and to celebrate the last year of this car, VW only produced the convertible version for the US dealer network. The Beetle remained true to its roots, but each year the car received some kind of tweak or improvement and in 1979 this car gave the owner the best it could offer.
