This 1961 Volkswagen Beetle De Luxe Sedan, 'The People's Car,' VIN 3311625 was built on September 20, 1960, has been meticulously restored, and is ready for a concour or Cars and Coffee. Chrome bumpers and trim complement its Pastel Blue (L391) exterior. The interior features new Ice Blue with Cream piping upholstered seating, crafted by Sewfine Interior Products, nationally renowned VW experts. A Ratan under-dash storage tray and period-correct Saphire I Bendix radio complete its vintage look. NEXEN All-Season tires are mounted on two-tone 15” steel wheels with chrome VW-branded hubcaps. A matching spare is located in the front trunk.

Major service was performed within the past 500 miles including the following a new master brake cylinder, steering box, rebuilt link pins, rebuilt speedometer, rebuilt radio, one key for ignition, doors, engine lid, and compartment lock with two 2 OEM keys. The interior has had a new interior light lens and switch installed, along with a beautiful Ice Blue leatherette upholstery with a painted dash, new floor mats, and a factory tool kit.

The air-cooled, four-cylinder engine has been upgraded to 1.3-liter, resulting in a substantial increase in horsepower for safe driving on today's highways. The transmission is manual 4-speed which shifts perfectly with a four-wheel hydraulic drum braking system. The engine was rebuilt to 1.3-liter (an increased to 50hp), NOS Type 3 40hp cylinder heads (with larger valves), a new OEM carburetor, a rebuilt OEM distributor, a rebuilt voltage regulator, a new 40hp muffler, a rebuilt starter with a new starter bushing, and a new battery was installed April of 2023.
