European Collectibles did an exquisite restoration on this 1957 Speedster over a 22-month period. During the restoration, this 356 was completely disassembled and stripped down to the bare shell so that every aspect could be properly addressed. The body and panels are original and still retain their correct stampings/numbers. All panels were pre-fit with bumpers, overrider bars, a windshield frame, and a soft top to ensure the absolute best result. All the chrome was triple-plated, and all of the components were restored or replaced.

Mechanically, it is in excellent condition! The complete driveline was rebuilt including the engine, transmission, suspension, braking system, fuel system, and a new wire harness. The matching 1600cc Normal engine performs flawlessly with plenty of power, and the manual 4-speed 644 transmission shifts through all the gears with ease. The four-wheel drum brakes have been rebuilt, including the wheel cylinders, brake lines, and master cylinder. The undercarriage is fully detailed, including the suspension, engine, and transmission.

Finished in a period-correct exterior color Stone Grey (color code 5710), the condition and the color combination is simply stunning! The interior is upholstered in Red Wine with German oatmeal square weave carpets, a black German canvas soft-top, a black German canvas boot cover, and side curtains. Options include USA overrider bumpers, a deluxe horn ring, sealed beam headlights, and a speedometer in miles. Perfectly straight body with excellent gaps & panel fit. Complete with tools, books, side curtains, boot cover, Kardex, and photo documentation of the restoration. Truly one of the best Speedsters that you will find with no issues.
