Single-family ownership for the past 26 years, finished in Signal Red with Black upholstery. Optional equipment from the factory includes a makeup mirror, antenna, chrome wheels, and a European heating system. The paintwork is in excellent overall condition, along with original glass and beautiful brightwork. The upholstery is trimmed with Black German vinyl and is complemented by a VDM steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, a clock, and an original Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. The undercarriage is solid and rust-free. The 15” x 4.5” chrome wheels are fitted with Vredestein Sprint Classic 165 15 tires.

This Cabriolet underwent a comprehensive restoration by European Collectibles. The restoration process involved stripping the chassis down to bare metal, prepping, priming, blocking, and painting it in Signal Red. The engine was disassembled down to the long block, and all sheet metal was detailed to factory specifications. The undercarriage was stripped to bare metal and under-coated, and the suspension was rebuilt and detailed in the process. The interior was then upholstered with new German vinyl upholstery, with a new black canvas soft top, boot cover, and German square weave carpets. Several optional upgrades were installed during the restoration, including Bilstein shocks and a 12-volt conversion, and the engine was upgraded to Solex P40 carburetors and a mild cam. The restoration was carried out with meticulous attention to detail.

Mechanically powered by its matching 1600cc flat-four engine (Type 616/15) paired with a manual 4-speed transmission (Type 714).
